“Play Through with Erik Compton”
Tuesday, August 20 at 1:00-1:45pm
Liberty National Golf Club
In the lead up to the PGA TOUR’s Barclays tournament taking place next month at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, the New York Organ Donor Network is excited to be teaming up with PGA TOUR player and heart transplant recipient Erik Compton to help spread the word about the importance of organ donor designation.
Erik will be leading a Youth Clinic at Liberty National Golf Club on Tuesday, August 20 from 1:00-1:45 p.m. During the clinic, he will share his inspiring story and offer golf tips and tricks. The New York Organ Donor Network and the NJ Sharing Network will be on hand to provide information on organ donation to attendees. Transplant recipients, waiting list patients and donor families will also be in attendance.
Erik’s appearance at the Barclays Youth Clinic is part of the “Play Through with Erik Compton” program. Throughout 2013, “Play Through” is traveling across the United States to key markets on the PGA TOUR, highlighting the importance of organ donation and educating the public on how to register to become a donor. “Play Through” is a partnership between Erik, Donate Life America and Genentech, a member of the Roche Group.
